Scientists in Europe now developing a robotic fish to improve water pollution monitoring system. They lowered the robot from the laboratory to the sea for testing purposes at the port of Gijon, Spain. The researchers claim that fish robot capable of detecting pollutants at sea in a matter of seconds, which they usually have to spend many weeks to analyze these pollutants. Robot fish has 1.5 m length is designed specifically to be able to swim like fish generally, and is equipped with sensors to pick up pollutants that leak from the vessels or underwater pipelines.
Robot fish is also equipped with the ability to clean up oil spills and perform underwater security, surveillance for divers, or search for a drowning person. Robot fish will be tested this week, after passing the test, the robot fish will be mass produced for sale at a price of U.S. $ 31.600/unit
