A replacement robot guards reportedly tried out in one of the prisons in Korea. The robot is equipped with a 3D camera and a software that can analyze the behavior of the prisoners.
This robot's name is Robo-Guard. The main task of the Robo-Guard is to notify the warden if there are prisoners who attempt suicide or escape from prison.
This robot can also be controlled via the iPad, so the officer no longer need to check the circumference of the prisoners. Simply sit back and Robo-Guard will provide accurate information about conditions in prison.
